Can you provide a comparison between various types of gasifiers (based on different types of feeds)? Which gasifier is best suited for High Ash Coals? Which gasifier is best suited to the FT process (GTL)?

Which gasifier is best suited for High Ash Coals?
Fluidized bed which can handle the ash comparatively better than fixed bed would be the preferred choice. There are no any proven technologies for high ash coal (>30 %) yet.
Which gasifier is best suited to the FT process (GTL)?
Lurgi (fixed bed) (Again though depends on the type of coal)

Lurgi gasifiers are used for coal gasification,and performance of gasifiers can be evaluated in terms of 'process gas' generation, it depends on operating conditions.
for FT process generally Lurgi gasifiers are used in the industry, presently FT process is developed with GTL, it measns feedstock is natural gas not gas generated from coal gasification.
