What is the reason for coke formation in the wet gas compressor and what is the solution?

You don't really get hot enough to form coke in a wet gas compressor. I am guessing you found some black deposits and are calling them coke. There is a good chance that the deposits are iron sulfide corrosion products. You could potentially also get some gum or polymer deposits in the compressor from diolefins reacting with Oxygen or Nitrogen compounds. Temperatures in debutanizer reboilers in FCC gas plants will sometimes plug with gums from polymerization reactions that are accelerated by the temperature of the system.
