What is the use of heat release curve of any heat exchanger?

A heat curve of each of the two fluids is needed to design/size the physical exchanger. The composition of the fluid is needed to develop a heat curve, which is temperature vs. enthalpy. Also needed are physical properties of the liquid and vapor portions at points along each curve.
