What is the plant downtime requirement for the revamp of typical Hydrocracker (Once through or Two stage)/Hydrotreater units? How can it be estimated during revamp design finalisation/preparation and what are the ways to scale it down to minimum possible?

There is no general rule of thumb. Revamp shut down time is unit specific and depends on the extent of hardware modifications required. In case of a high pressure unit like Hydrocracker or Hydrotreater, the hardware modifications in the HP section normally govern the shutdown duration. Especially the special fabrication requirements which need to be performed in-situ like radiography for high pressure piping joints etc hold the key. Thus more the HP piping modifications, the longer the shutdown duration.......
